Our staff are a vital component to the whole Thai Garden experience.
Here at Thai Garden Galway we are lucky to have an experienced and highly skilled team in our kitchen, all of whom are originally from Thailand and have been with us for 25 years.

Many of our staff have been with us since day one when we first opened back in 1999. You will be in the best hands with our dedicated serving staff, and their goal is to make your experience with us an enjoyable one.

A warm welcoming atmosphere awaits you whilst you experience the delicate flavours of Thailand in the pleasant ambience of our restaurant.

Won - General Manager

Won was born in a small village in the North Eastern countryside of Thailand, Korat. After Won graduated high school she gained 15 years of experience in a 5-star hotel called the Royal Garden Resort in Pattaya.

Won has been with Thai Garden Galway for over 20 years, overseeing the team and doing a fantastic job. Amongst Won’s many talents she is particularly proud of her linen folding in which she entered many competitions back home in Thailand and can fold linen into many styled items, from swans to lotus flowers!

Ae - Assistant General Manager

Ae was born and raised in Chonburi, Eastern Thailand and studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Management at the Rajanagarindra Rajabhat University where she learned her talents in restaurant operations. Ae joined the Thai Garden Restaurant Galway in 2003 and has been a crucial part of our team ever since. Her favourite aspect of the job is service and taking care of all customers that come to Thai Garden Galway.


Ae’s favourite Thai Garden dish is Pork Fried Rice as it is a dish that reminds her of fond memories with her friends and family back home in Thailand.

Noy - Head Chef

Noy was born in the North Eastern countryside of Thailand, Korat, and grew up in Samut Prakan. Following his completion of high school, Noy went to work in a hotel called Eurasia Bangkok Hotel for 5 years as Commis Chef 2. He was trained by the very talented professional chef ‘Wong’. Noy then moved closer to the sea in 1995 to work in a hotel called Land Mask Hotel as Chef De Partie and was promoted to Sous chef in 2006. During his time here he even participated in a culinary show in 2006. Having trained at Burapa University, Noy has a range of culinary skills, he even hand carves beautiful decorative vegetables for each dish.

His favourite Thai dish is Deep Fried Seabass in Chilli paste, one of our most popular here at Thai Garden Galway.

Noy was offered the position of head chef in Thai Garden Galway in 2007 and has been with us ever since, creating delicious meals for all to enjoy.

Boy - Sous Chef

Boy was born and raised in Chonburi, Eastern Thailand. Boy always had a keen interest in cooking from a young age and was inspired by local famous chefs in Thailand to pursue his own career as a culinary master! Boy completed an internship at the Montien Pattaya Hotel where he learned the art of Thai Cuisine. Following the completion of his internship, Boy flew to Ireland and started working in Thai Garden Galway in 2003, coming into his 20th year! His favourite Thai dish is Pad Kra Pao, a beautiful basil stir-fry.

Yui - Second Chef

Yui was born in Ayutthaya province. After she completed her education, Yui went on to work in a local factory and cooking was her favourite hobby. Yui’s love for cooking came from her mother with whom she always cooked. Having a reputation for being a talented cook, Yui received an invitation to work in a Thai restaurant in 2002 in Dublin where she worked until 2018 which is when she came to work in Thai Garden Galway. Yui has been a great addition to our kitchen team.
